Ok no problem , but i have just noticed its in KPH .....
Ok , first get this screen up ( if you have premium sat nav you will also have 4x4 info icon aswell ..and maybe a tv icon)
Press and hold this invisable button for approx 5 - 6 seconds.
Then press this button untill a keypad shows up.
Like this.
Then enter 753 then OK.
You will then get this screen.
From here you can access the 3 inputs on the screen for reversing cam / dvd and venture cam. As well as checking whats installed in your vehicle ...and various tests .
You want to press VEHICLE SIGNALS
Then you will find the speed , battery voltage ,park brake position , reversing gear on /off ,lights on /off ,various temperatures ....
Hope this helps ...to get out of these screens just push the Left hand hard button just below the screen.G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Thanks Wiggs!
How the .... did you manage to stumble onto the "invisible button"?!
Is there any way you could mess up your software setup by browsing through all the vehicle configs. etc?

I wont take credit for it ..i found it on this web site sometime last year.
And no you cant mess anything up ..in fact i dont think you can change anything ( well not without a little box that costs about £1000..) Most of it is just info ..quite handy for software versions etc , seeing what equiptment is fitted etc ..
There is another set of diagnostics just for the sat nav ...simular type of thing ..check satellite positions , sat nav disk versions , also can test microphone and touch screen calibration ...sat nav error codes ...and a few others i cant remember

Ok for those of you who want to get to the sat nav diagnostics here goes
Go to this screen
Press this invisable button untill the screen changes
Like this
Enter 753 then ok
Then you will get this screen
Pressing Navigation Info will take you to here
Then pressing Vehicle signals will get you here
There you will find the speed in mph / kph etc
There are many more screens ..im not going to explain them all as most are obvious
Here are some screen shots ..in no particular order
This one you can turn up / down the default navigation voice
To get out of the main screen you need to switch of the ignition ...

OMG OMG OMG I just go to the black screen and now my sat nav wont be like normal...How do make it back to normal...I resatarted my engine but it wont go back...
Shut down the car, lock it and walk away for a short while (about 15 -20 minutes) to let the car go to sleep properly. After this the system should reset as normal. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Thanks Guys, Great info.
There is a lot more possible than the books tell you.
We might have to make a database. Otherwise we have to search the whole forum to find it back.
