I noticed quite a while ago that some of the "old" members had stopped posting as often as they used to.
I did wonder at the time if these guys had started to get off with the crap and maybe started their own breakaway forum...
Some of these "old" members are the knowledgeble chaps who had all the answers to the questions about your D3 that you wanted to know and it's a real shame that they don't post!
Now there seems to be a lot of people who have had their D3 a dog watch and spout of in a knowledgeble fashion, the answer to a question which is either tosh or something they dug up from one of the "old" members' original posts.
Blessed are the cheese makers....and those who can't make up their own mind without involving every member of the forum in a pointless poll.nil admirari

Hey I'm relatively new ( and sober tonight)
and I like this forum the way it is
It WAS/IS one of the reasons I chanced buying a big bag of tricknology in a D3
and not go for the safe Jap choice
I liked the banter, and comradery in the site, I suspect there's a strong element of ex-mil ppl here
and I think this helps, because these ppl are used to working/living in a tight knit team
which becomes infectious and we all hopefully can take as well as give a pi ss taking
and I'll be the first to wind up many a person
Life is too short to get a floater in your sundae, take your forum and D3 as its ment to be FUN
Theres a fun group of ppl here who are by and large willing to help in any way possible, sometimes even going out of their way to do so, lets keep it that way
I like off topic guff
I like Disco3,co.uk
& i like high posters who post guff, ITS FUN

I really can't be arsed to voice an opinion on all this particular discussion other than to say that those of us that have been here a while (and for some of us before this great site was conceived on other sites and (going back even further for those of us that have been using this Internet thing for a couple of decades or so) before that on Usenet & BBS's) have seen this kind of thing many times before and no doubt will see it many times again. There will always be a minority that annoy other members, most quickly (others eventually ) get the message and either fit into the general 'vibe' of the site in question or move on and leave us in peace, get used to it. If you are one of the moaned about ones you either don't care, really get off on all the negative attention and have no/little respect for the site or you're just a bit slow on the uptake and will catch on eventually.
Best advise I can give to anyone is, unless it's a full on banter thread (in which case this it the right part of this site for it) which sadly don't happen very often on here nowadays, think for a couple of seconds before typing a response then read what you've written and think for a few seconds more before hitting that submit button
Now I'll get back in my hole...The End

Yes I've clogged threads up in the past... but mainly due to some TW@T starting it off in the first place and posting real drivel thats ed me off. I've been more outspoken about certain issues or members than others have... but then maybe I've just said what many were thinking and were more grown up than me so said nothing
No offence taken BTW Paul I just wish some members would either fit in or feck off TBH.
Now lets all just get back to what the forum is supposed to be about - the D3 and having a laugh

You been spying on me. The amount of times I have typed a reply and then deleted it In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
