I've just bought 2 of these
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Flat-Bar-Mirror-Arm-...1054wt_948
I may ditch the flat bar section as I have two of RLD's heavy duty rail mounts. I have a Yaesu 857 that has two outputs, HF and VHF/UHF, so I'll have a large whip on one side and a 2m/70cm on the other. Club Exped trailer
Club Timed Climate
Club Flappy paddle steering wheel
Club 300bhp
Club Prospeed test pilot/lab rat
Club National Luna Stella conditioner

One thing to beware of is, when feeding a cable through a grommet from above, leave a small loop below the grommet to allow water to run off. It can run down the cable if tight and through any gaps in the grommet. With the loop below the grommet it will drop off the loop.

[quote="MacLeod 313"]No probs, once in the grommits it will leave you inside the N/S/R cubby box, its then under varous trims to your chosen destination.
Mac, when you say "it's then under various trims to your chosen destination" you didn't mention that you have to dismantle half the car to get to the centre cubby box! Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Details Dave, details. Mind you, on any other car this would just lift out. Typical LR they over engineer the simplest things Welcome "Lola"

I just wasn't expecting to have to remove a front seat and then try and loosen the centre console again just to get a wee cable under the carpet and up a wee hole. The size of the bolt holding the back panel on as well was enourmous for a bit of plastic, you could moor the QE 2 to it.
It's these metal clips that I really don't like though, it always feels like the plastic is about to shatter before it comes away in your hand and then when it does come away it's a hugh sigh of relief! Joined the BMWX5 45e group

It does help you to get to know the car though, just hope it doesn't start squeeking now! I've missed getting my hands dirty until I got a D3, it was a Honda before and a few BMWs before that so not to much to do, boring really. Joined the BMWX5 45e group
