Antenna mount no roof rails |
|
I have a 65 plate Discovery 4 es, which has no roof rails, it has a plastic strip along what I assume is where the rails would fit. The strip has 4 or 5 small round blanks on its surface. I was wondering if these are covering the fixing bolt holes for the rails. If I removed one of the blanks could I make up a fitting to take an antenna? Hope that makes sense!! LR 4 se

Hi Percyprod, the short answer is yes. There are six anchor nuts used for mounting the rails. One of them should be strong enough to take an antenna bracket. Sorry not sure of the thread size, but LR have the bolt kit as VUB502870.
