Now I am ponding...
Shall I get rid of my D3 V8 HSE for a D4 2.7TDV6... Had a drive on the D4 today. I cannot sleep now!  LR lives!

HSE to basic spec D4 is a big drop, you will miss all the toys and that lovely V8, I wouldn't bother if I were you. I'd consider swapping yours for a D4 3.0 TDV6 HSE though  2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

on the contrary,,, had no issues at all..... 
not sure why it's an assumption that manuals are a nightmare, they've been around alot longer than auto's..
how many auto defenders have you seen??? one wife.......livid

True. We do not have options here due to low unit sales, the D4 HSE comes with premium leather, IPOD + Nav (which cannot be used due to map availabilty, rear air con but it lacks the toys like u mentioned whihc I may missed: Alpine roof, heated seats/windscreen, TV, adaptive headlamps... and err.. the very important e-diff is missing too.
True true - the new 3.0 TDV6 was in my mind all the time, sadly the dealer here cannot get allocation for it. 
 time to rest and sleep well, D4.1 then... LR lives!

Because LR sells less than 100 units a year here in Singapore, there are less than 50 Disco3 here since launch.
All V8 as the government imposed very high Diesel Road Tax here previously, it was reduced recently but still cost quite a fair bit. Calculation is madness! As such, diesel passenger car here is rare...

With such low volume movement, we the buyers are really at the mercy of the dealers here as they will help package what they think will sell and this is it for us; applies to 95% of the cars sold here! Anything out of this norm is special order, and special order = cost$ = endless wait time. LR lives!
