Anyone knows how / and if it's possible to import POI's

Fellow disco drivers,

has anyone here in the forum figured out if it's possible to import your own Points Of Interest in the Sat Nav system (I have the premium one in my D4 MY11) I am keen to import speed camera information etc. Confused

I searched the forum for any threads on this topic, none found... ?

Cheers

Cannot be done on a D3 and I suspect the D4 will be the same.

Would like it if hard disk wiped and a another system loaded which had more options.

I must admit, as good as the Navigation system is in general in the D4, I do think LR could learn something by installing a Garmin unit next time around, perhaps with some sort of connection which will allow simple and cheap self-updates using the Garmin Lifetime Mapping system perhaps?

Many thanks for all feedback, my D4 has the "old Sat Nav" From what I understand, MY12 has a new HDD based system similar to other brands (VW, Audi) and apparently this system offers some openness, while the old one don't... in any case the workaround is to have a capable smartphone with the right navigation software app.
