For anyone who regularly removes the towing electrics cover
Hopefully a time saving tip for anyone who tows and doesn't leave the cover off...
Saw a few old posts where people had fashioned some sort of twist clips on the cover but thought I'd share the below I found recently.
We tow at least twice a week and previously was a minor inconvenience remembering to take a screwdriver/leatherman/coin out to take the cover off not to mention getting my tool into the slot in the dark fnar.
Found these on eBay from MPS Trading - replacement clips with a twist handle built in that replace the existing clips in the cover.
For about £6, has saved a good and valuable few mins over the past few months.
Definitely thumps up from me and they don't look obviously either when the cover is in place.
Disclaimer - not connected to MPS Trading so hope this doesn't break any forum rules as advertisingLuke

Someone on here had glued a half washer into the slot which was a great idea that I never got round to. So I've just bought these. That'll teach me to be a fat lazy .

Yeah, been meaning to do the DIY solution myself.
So now I've saved the time but it's cost me £6:00

Just like you read my mind! I went to refit mine today and one of the fasteners was rounded off. Perfect timing!

I went down the DIY route with the half washer glued into the slot. Unfortunately the way the grove is cut on the OEM fastener, the half washer is not aligned fore and aft when fastened. Maybe this is why my fuel consumption is so high.
The fasteners on sale on eBay have the thumb-grip aligned for and aft so will have very little wind resistance and therefore make your disco much more economical to run
