Side steps are a lot better It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,

Storage space is at a premium. 7 people plus luggage for a 6 day tour of the NC500 and I fear I won’t have room for lots of extraneous kit
I have side steps but I can’t reach the roof box at it’s far end.

If aluminium then fine, but regards to muddy boots wont you have to stand on the front seat in order to get onto it?

Looks like a step in the right direction.
Well someone was going to say that, eventually.

I’d say the most important thing is what size are you. I don’t think the door latch loop would stay in position if I hooked a step on to it and all 100kgs + of me stood on it. Holding the drivers door closed with one hand on a long journey might get tiresome.
Specification:
Material: light weight aluminum alloy, strong structure
Size: Approx 5.9*3.9*3.9 inch
Max load:510 pounds
Note:
1.Under industrial regulation, the slam door latch must withstand force of 2500 pounds at least, please be free of worry about damage on the latch while you step on the car pedal.
2.Before use, please put on the adhesive around the edge of doorstep so as to avoid scratching painting on your car
So … even 100+Kg should be ok.

I'd also be interested as it would save me standing on the seats when loading the roofbox.
Also concerned about ripping the door latch out through 2014 D4 XS

I would be making sure the poor latch bolts are nipped up tight as to prevent it from shifting in the door frame and causing door latch misalignment.
A mm here or there makes all the difference to the smooth operation of the door handle/latch mechanism
(I know )
