If they fixed it and checked it in two hours I assume they have put a new battery on it, otherwise there is no way they can fully re-charge it in two hours. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

That should be easy to check, there will be a manufacturing date on the battery and the type I had fitted was not sealed. The new battery is sealed and is also a AGM (Absorbed Glass Mats) type.

Intrestingly, had flat batteries on fire engine the other week, you recon the D4 is electric hungry nothing like a Dennis fire engine, anyway back on track. Fitter turned up with two new HUGE batteries and stuck them on, asked what happens with old batteris, they get thrown away. Apparently each time batteries go flat they are replaced as they cannot chance the battery going flat again at a critical point, pity the batteries will not fit in the D3 or D4 MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/homea...37320.aspx
Quote:Current situation
The Environment Agency's South Wessex area covers Dorset, Wiltshire and part of Hampshire, and is part of the Environment Agency's South West Region.
We monitor groundwater levels at a number of sites across the area using an automatic telemetry system. This system is linked to our computers to allow us to see the data at all times
We have split the area into three flood alert areas: West Dorset, Cranborne Chase and Salisbury Plain. The boreholes in each area all have an alarm level which allows us to issue alerts when the alarm levels are reached. A flood alert means that flooding is possible.
We also have a flood warning area for the South Winterborne Valley. This is triggered from our borehole at Kingston Russell. We issue a flood warning when flooding is expected.
The recent heavy rain has meant that the levels in boreholes across our patch are rising steeply. Flood alert levels have been reached in all the boreholes in West Dorset and Cranborne Chase and in four of the eight boreholes on Salisbury Plain. Flood alerts have been issued for all three areas.
The borehole at Kingston Russell has risen to 119 metres and is above flood warning TLO has left the building.......
