AT2s - there is a downside |
|
Fuel economy seems to be down about 10-15% against the Scorpions. As previously mentioned the sidewalls do seem to bulge more at the stock pressures so will be gradually increasing these, probably to no more than the LR recommended max load pressure, to see if it makes a difference.
Anyone else with offroad or AT tyres find this a problem? I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Certainly my Cooper STT's reduce the miles per tank by an indicated 40 -50 miles. I think the rolling radius might be ever so slightly different, which may account for it.
Try using a hand held GPS to record your distance actually travelled, rather than relying on the odometer, which will effectively only tell you how many times the wheels went round, and will be directly controlled by the size of the tyre.

Good plan that man. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
