attaching bluetooth module to IPOD cable in 2010 d4 hse

hello all,

i've bought a bluetooth ipod adaptor that attaches to the 30pin ipod connector at the end of the standard ipod connector lead (in the lid of teh cubby box). I've used this in my house on various ipod cradles and it allows me to bomd from my tablet to teh device and tehn stream spotify or whatever through bluetooth. I'd like to achieve the same in my LR (i could use ta 3.5mm jack but i get a bit of interference a faint humming). All i get when i select IPOD is "device error" does anyoe know if there is a device that spoofs teh LR more convincingly tahn my £10 ebay item
cheers
Gareth

On a 2010 D4 you need this cable to be able to connect an Ipod to the entertainment system, it's part number LR031492

it's one of these

yep - i have teh standard apple lead - its the "bluetooth dongle" that i was hoping would enable me to stream from anydevice over bluetooth.

here's teh link to the one I bought (amazon not ebay)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007Y5D...&psc=1

like i said - i can attach it to my Pure ipod doc and my regular Ipod doc for my hifi it works really well, enbaling me to stream spotify etc. I wonder if i picked a better version it would fool the LR into thinking an ipod was attached and thus avoid the error. Would be a useful fix to anyone who has moved away from apple tech.
