Applicable to all D4/RRS/Evoque/DS/2013 FL2 etc
Turns the KVM from a programmable unit to a read only unit, preventing new keys from being programmed to the module
Good for security, bad for owners...
So, hang on a moment, see if I got this right.
If the KVM is updated to ‘read only’ after coding, then you can “never” add new keys unless you also replace the kvm?
That seems a knee-jerk, albeit something needed doing

Just an update and confirmation of the highest level of expertise available on the Forum.
Just for once main dealer incompetence paid off in that the module was not updated. My friend will at last follow me to Wimbledon Land Rover who were brilliant. However, to be fair when his engine blew up at 900 miles in Garda part of the recompense was a Service Plan, now expired.
Collected the car all done and valeted, 2 new keys and no rattly glass inside the door.
Less £150 from insurers, total cost £250.
Thanks all for your comments. Mikey spot on yet again.
