Attention all D4 2016MY owners
It would appear the 2016MY D4 vehicles are displaying an erroneous outside temperature reading on the instrument panel. This issue does not affect 2015 and earlier MY vehicles.
The displayed temperature appears to be ~3 degrees C above the actual outside temperature. This is having a consequential impact on the correct operation of the HEVAC system, the auto demisting of the wing mirrors and rear windscreen and the operation of the fuel fired booster heater. In addition, and of considerable concern from a safety perspective, the ice/frost warning symbol is not being accurately displayed.
There has already been some considerable forum input on this matter in the topic thread below.
Please would you indicate, using the poll above, whether or not this issue impacts your car - and please do so regardless of whether you have already posted in the discussion spread. This will help us keep track of the number of members who have vehicles impacted by this issue.
Thank you for your input.

I thought I would add a comment on this thread that has just been resurrected, in case readers have not seen the several other threads relating to the over reading of outside temp diisplay, and HEVAC not working properly.
LTB00908 relates to the temperature display.
LTB00963 relates to the HEVAC.
I have had both done to my MY16 (assembled Oct 2015), and it is looking as though the 2 problems may have been cured. Need cold weather to be sure.

I think mine reads high, said 14 Degs this AM at around 7AM and it felt a lot colder than that to me.
We also notice on this car that we both need our internal temps set higher,
on previous car I always ran mine at 20 and SWMBO at 22, we now use 22 for me and 24 for her. I assume this is related?
How do I go about getting this two patches applied, just book it in to LR and tell them to fix under warranty ?D4 HSE - Aintree Green
D4 Orkney my13 - gone
Stornaway D4. Gone, Didn't like it at all

Having had car less than a week with 2 days already back in dealer with the LTV codes they have returned it saying it is OK. Outside temp reading 5 degrees whilst friends evoque reading 2/and first clearly forming on grass. HEVAC in auto was still blowing cool air when set at 28 degrees and ended up trying to do something in manual to stay warm. Looks like this is the problems mentioned above. Do I send it back to let them try and sort, or just reject the car as per landrover one month thing? Has anyone had a proper fix of problems with the two LTB fixes?

I got my temp reading sorted at the first service, it did take a bit of convincing as they compared it to another D4 which was also wrong! By quoting the 'fix' as supplied here they were able to do the update and the temp has been correct since Get back to them

I get the feeling it isn't just software, early 2016s had the problem, now some late. My March 2016 has never had the problem, if it was a pure software issue why is mine fine and earlier and later models not?Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Does any one have a copy of the two bulletins: LTB00908 relates to the temperature display.
LTB00963 relates to the HVAC.
I have a 16 plate D4 where the display is definatley 3 Degrees out and the dealer informs me that 908 does not relate to my car and they have not had this problem reported to them previously.
Thanks
