For those interested, I found a company here that has a chip for the TDV6.
Have a look at http://www.dpchip.com/index.html
Although the power boost is less than what is claimed by the Turbo Chip UK product, DP Chip claims that theirs is tuned for warmer Aussie conditions, plausible. What I like about the local product is its ability to be DIY adjusted either by a 10 position dial on the unit or by PC via USB.
Rang up and it costs $1,350. Tempted......... '06 TDV6 SE AUTO BUCKINGHAM BLUE

The engine management system compensates for external temperatures, not the remap. Talk to LR Tuning, (marketed as DieselTune in OZ, I believe) I'm not sure the driver adjustment bit is a good idea as most would be tempted to leave it on maximum, possibly stressing engine or fuel components dependent on how the extra BHP is gained...

d3syd, if you're desperate to get a chip then check this document.
I looked at this option some time ago but didn't proceed due to voided warranty concerns.
Still the best choice seems to be LRTuning's upgrade but I am waiting to see what 10FC has up his sleeve...

* first ran a bearing (design failure in original engine)
* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)

DPchip simply sell the same product as www.tunit.co.uk
They are simply 'fuel pressure' resistor boxes that raise fuel pressure...not exactly the safest option Money talks.Sex sells.Mud sticks.Time flys. happens.People talk.Impressions last!

Haveing been customer # 1 in Australia I have to say that the remap is worth it. For various reasons I was reduced to a standard map for a while then the remap and the difference is amazing. This comment includes off-road especially when 6 or more up as the extra torque (not using the programs as not necessary) makes a huge difference to the driveability.
