Does anyone know where all Australian shipments arrive? Is it Melbourne?

Cheers.

Picked mine up last Thursday.

Mine was built on the 23rd August.

It docked/landed in Perth the day I ordered it (16.10.06) and took 24 days to get to the Gold Coast by TNT rail.

So thats about 6 weeks from manufacture to Perth?

I don't think they all land in Perth, but the one I wanted was unallocated and just happened to be going to Perth?

I wanted the rear diff too, but 4 months (as advised) wait was too long and is probably more like 6 months from what I have read here.

Cheers.

I just received a note from the leasing company - the expected delivery date is now 11/12, due to a delay in shipping. Sheez... this is like a pregnancy!

I ordered a TDV6 SE in Chawton white, with side protection bars, active rear diff and rear A/C. I too could have taken possession much sooner had I wanted a Bonatti Grey without options - but that defeated the point of getting the car... so I wait.

As far as waiting until Feb because of rear diff - that sounds like a story to me! Then again, I might get strung along until then too - I should shut up now! Shocked

Cheers,
Rob

I should have shut up earlier - my delivery has now ben delayed until 20/12! Shocked

As I have a holiday trip from Sydney to Murwillumbah planned on 6/1, I hope there are no further delays.

good luck - but put your dealer on notice that if it does not turn up, you want him to supply a loaner for the trip.

MY07 - new wheels

Hi Folks,
I was wondering what wheels the MY07 would come with. I just noticed tonight, that the LRA web site has photos! It appears that the 18" wheels are new - for the SE (style 1) and TDV6 HSE (style 2). The 17" and 19" looks unchanged - or maybe they haven't updated the photos as of yet.

http://www.landrover.com.au/au/en/Vehicles...wheels.htm

I also managed to get some old 18" style 1 wheels off eBay. I just need to find someone that wants to swap them for some 17" wheels.

Cheers,
Rob

If you go to LR USA site-> LR3 -> exterior, there is a image of the new TDV6 wheels. Hopefully some one can upload this image, I don't know how.

I had to take my daughter out for a drive last night - to try and get the required hours logged on her Learner's Permit, so decided to swing by my dealer. I got excited - seeing a new D3 SE TDV6 there... in Chawton white with new style 1 wheels and shiny interior bits... but unfortunately it had Tundra leather instead of Ebony like I ordered.

Just shows that new wheels have now made it to Australia and they do look better IMHO.

Cheers,
Rob

I got a note yesterday - delivery is delayed for the third time. Delivery date is now 29/12/06. Which means I can't show off my new toy to my family at Christmas and have to take 2 cars every time we need to go somewhere as a family (4 kids). Mad

hope time does not catch up to you...!

Have they provided any plausible excuses for the delays?!

Hi Tristan,
Well - time has caught up with me, as I will have to take 2 cars down to Kiama on Christmas day.

The two excuses were "shipping delays" and the latest one is a "quarantine delay."

Well, time will tell if they were telling the truth this time.

Cheers,
Rob

I ordered mine in August ( with rear diff lock ) and was told to expect delivery in Feb 07. Had a phone call from the dealer last Wednesday to say the ship has docked in Sydney.
