Hi Discoteca, no slope, still does it, perhaps it goes into resting mode, who knows?

Cheers Lukey Thumbs Up

I've noticed that the suspension "relaxing" (air pressure release?) after vehicle stop and engine off and access height aren't the same.

Correct. And it isn't relaxing, it is auto levelling.

think I've just used the magic of search and found this to be the answer to my question.
I currently park on a gentle slope under my car port, and when I get out and lock the doors, I seem to get an escape, sorry the car not me, of air. Sounds a bit like air brakes releasing pressure.
It doesn't do it all the time, just when on a slight incline.

Sounds like it normal Thumbs Up

I use the access mode very often and don't see the problem of just flicking the switch just before the vehicle comes to a stop and it's there for you when you return and raises itself again on moving off, what could be simpler!!

As said, very simple to do !!!

I would have thought an automatic access mode could cause serious damage if you parked on rough, stony ground.

After all, it is an off-roader alongside everything else Thumbs Up

In my D4, if you leave the engine running and get out and open the boot, the car lowers. Neat..imo
