Furnitureman that’s what I was thinking, thanks
Gary I did check rough temp, and the car was leaning slightly forward, but I only reckon I got about four litres back in before it was full. The crossmember has always been slightly wet with oil but no drips, but now it’s dripping on the drive, not much but it’s starting to leave a patch. Any ideas?

Hi

Cheers, was just an idea as we all know sometimes doing one job opens a can of worms for another Laughing

Have got some links to the zf gearbox if there be of any use , Plse let me know and happily post the links for u

As furnitureman mentions , may be the electrical connector , see there’s a few seals that can be changed when the sump is removed so indeed might be an idea to replace them at the same time

Thanks Gary,
I’m guessing one thing you might be referring to is the mechatronic sleeve, if I’ve spelt that correctly.
Is hard work getting underneath the car, it tends to put my back out for a week or so. I’ve got mot due soon so I might ask if I can have a good look whilst it’s on a ramp.
Kind regards Lee.

Is your drive flat, if I leave mine for a few days without driving the tourqe converter empties itself and I get a drip but unlucky if I revere into my drive that slopes towards the house if I drive on no drips

It’s a lot easier to do than you would think. Since doing mine however I have developed a leak, not from filler or drain, can’t work out where, anybody else had this?

It’s not unknown for the tray to develop an airline crack, as mine did. Hence the change for a steel pan & separate filter. Much easier for future changes.

How much have you driven since?
approx 65,000 miles. Smooth as silk changes.
Highly recommend this oil with confidence. May I also say I did not use an additive, as there were no issues before. Felt no need to add it.
