auto flush not recomended at this tme by zf company(on trial |
|
hi folks ,having spoken to technical guy at zf g/box nottingham.
They are trialing these dialyses flush machines at this moment so wont recommend.
I am having this done by mark west who reckons he can remove about eight litres and has no comeback problems at all, which is okay by me as he does it without a machine.
The tech guy reckons that would be okay and should be fine. The choice is yours.cheers colin.h. senior citizen still learning.

Never liked the idea of just flushing, what about the possibility of the filter being blocked and you can't check for metal in there etc. Much prefer the double even triple change idea as I've just done. yes it's a drawn out job removing the stupid plastic sump but not as bad as I feared then fitted a metal sump pan with a separate filter so next time it'll be a piece of Land Rovers don't leak they just mark there spot

Peter the filter is not a filter as in a std oi/fuel filetr which filters down to so many microns, rather it is a pretty crude affair just like some hydraulic systems, basically it keeps the chunks out of the valve blocks.

As above, the filter isn't a filter, its a strainer to catch the bigger lumps of debris. And if that filter catches big lumps, then a flush is the least of your problems! My D3 Build Thread
