2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Zambezi SilverDiscovery 3
Auto stuck in gear.

Every now and then my D3 sticks in first, no warning lights etc, just revs the nuts of at 40mph. Usually flicking it into manual and sport sorts it out but its starting to happen more often.

Mine tends to do that at start up when cold. Is ok once box changes to 2nd though. '06 TDV6 SE AUTO BUCKINGHAM BLUE

Finland 2005 LR3 TDV6 SE Auto Zambezi SilverLR3

Does your gearbox make whining noise or any resonace noise during acceleration? Mine does and sometime also stucks into gear. Occasionally I have noticed that during shift, engine revs up for a second before higher gear is engaged.

I have transmissions oils changed, all latests SW and patches downloaded. Still no help to these anomalies.

It did first at cold, but it's also happened after 4 hrs of driving. Off to the dealers I think.
