autobox oil/filter -OEM or Britpart 2 part sump/filter kit ?

Has any tried fitting Rimmer's Easy Fit Automatic Transmission Filter Conversion Kit - Britpart DA2142 2 part kit? and know how much quicker it might be than fitting the OEM one pice plastic one which involves more dismantling & jacking ?

lots of people have fitted 2 part metal sumps/filters. (don't know about the specific britpart kit)

Yes it is a lot quicker.

The disadvantage is trying to get the new metal sump to seal.

Overall general opinion is not to bother changing the filter (i've looked at one after 100K+) and it still seamed fine

ZF metal pan with separate ZF filter, and good oil.

and do this too while your at it

plastic pan is a bit of a pain to get out due to the design and you need to snap the plastic pickup pipe off the filter. but new pan and filter being separate is much easier to get in.

This Thumbs Up

Never had a metal sump seal properly. I only fit the plastic OEM one now, with a new sleeve at the same time Thumbs Up

No leaks on my metal sump after 30'km.
I used shorter bolts, and a good sealer.
