All this configuratiobn stuff is great, but, has anyone managed to revearse engineer the software and get their hands on the source code. Now that really would be useful Duncan

Dont_tell_him_Pike is no one special. Just another guy who knows an awful lot about Land Rovers who is fortunate enough to live next to the sea on a lovely part of the south coast. I pick the phone up more than i do spanners now.
For reference, my box is an Autologic & is no better than any other techs either.
I'm just expressing a few facts & it seem's there's very few people here that can debate this issue or discuss auto diagnostics without detriment.
It's a very valid subject as no late vehicle can be kept on the road without them & therefore is worthy of a good discussion.
I'm not a bad guy, on the contrary. It's a subject that's very important in my life & i'm always willing to spend time with others that are interested in the diagnostic side.
If there's anyone interested in diagnostics i'm more than willing to make them tea & show them the in & outs of what they do, what they can achieve & a general understanding of how it all works. If you're near me, you only have to ask. Then you can meet me in person & see this strong minded guy has a more gentle side.

Don't need to be much of an expert to see when someone is trying to be nice and inviting people for a cup of tea..

Agree. An offer of tea is always good. But only judge the man by the biscuits he serves with the tea. Rich tea is a no no. Choccy hob nobs on the other hand HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

Our local independent has just got one - told me it cost nearer £10k. He is now trying to re-coup that cost by offering performance upgrades to 240bhp for £350+VAT. Very tempted...No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!

Birnam Vehicle Services - great service and reasonable prices. Went in because the D3 was constantly slipping into neutral, especially on corners. He knew of the problem (http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic31656.html) and cleaned up the mechanism to sort it.
Will definitely be using them for future services and MOTs.No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!

Autologics Diagnostic Tool.. Questions
I m trying to find this device in New Zealand to test my ECM, my engine caught fire after parking. I am hoping you could help me answer a few questions?
Under the Dynamic Data: Body Systems; 'Door Locks' and 'Alarm System' are those merely fault readings or would you have time specific data??
As well as in the BCM (body controle module)
As well as in the Restraints Control 'Door Status' My fire expert is trying to show that the car was not accessed by me after it was locked. So my hope is that if I can find the Autologic tool with these tests I could prove that the vehicle was not opened by use of the key which will hopefully clear me of the charges of Arson.
One last question, if the engine has caught fire and damaged the wiring looms, and power would the Autologic Work? Or is the ECM damaged?

It’s also very easy to calibrate the ride height, restore calibration or enter geometry setting mode
Can it do this on the Disco 2? I need to get my sensor calibrated after replacing the height sensors. It's about 1cm lower on the passenger side.

Great debate from the thiose that have and the those that need. back to an earlier question yes AL can set reversing lights as follow you home lights - did this for a customer last months - always reversed onto his drive - now he can see his front door and still off Mrs Jones across the street with 120 secs of zenons at full chat!!!

Is there a way, with the Autologic, to enable the 4x4 info screen? Quickly had a Autologic system connected yesterday but didn't seem to find such an option.2012 LR Discovery SDV6 SE

Nice review Iain.
The big benefit here is that an independent like yourself is able to diagnose and fix issues rather than just clear the errors out.
If you are looking for a good Autologic equipped independent near Halifax then try
