As a newbie on here, i had the pleasure a while since of tfc to service my d3, and he pointed out that he did not upspec vehicles, so if you get an se he wouldn't upspec to a hse, Now i see the point of this as it means lr may only sell lower spec vehicles and then owners upgrade cheaply.
Here comes the BUT. now we have a d4 with 240 bhp etc do we all stop getting remaps as this will impact on LR sales as owners of d3 dont upgrade to a d4 but just remap.
Just playing devils advocate.

No because you are paying someone for their time and expense in developing the tune not stealing LR's code. At the end of the day we are all adults and we have to do what we think is fair. If you are happy with music and software piracy then you are more likely to feel ok about it, if you think that is theft then don't do it. But don't let it degenerate into yet another slag off the Faultmate or Autologic thread DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Hi pelyma, i wasn't and wouldn't slag anything off life's too short but i just like to try to see all angles and proffer different views, i would love to get the off road sat nav stuff, and a remap, both of which i will probably do when the 3 is out of warranty.
Do i think its wrong no, because having a vehicle is all about personal taste and tailoring it to that, in an ideal world we could all afford a hse with all the toys, i would love a g4, but wife wont drive an orange car and i cant afford one.
can i see both sides yes,
and funnily enough i dont agree with music or dvd or software piracy.
The autologic and the faultmate look good though i wouldnt have either cos id wreck sumat.

lr give you the car with bits disabled, which costs money, to sell it to you more cheaply they do this to make more money related to marketing rather than manufacturing costs. hse owners are beeing ripped off. so why not get an se and upgrade via software. seems fair to me. There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song
