In my never ending quest to have a fairly decent audio system, i've already put in an amplifier, changed my door speakers, put in a subwoofer (powered by a seperate amplifier), and a digital signal processor so that i can control the output (much like an equalizer) ...and i have recently identified a multimedia player that will put the ipod to shame in terms of stored content and portablility (see http://www.kjglobal.co.uk/acatalog/DVP-260.html). However, i would like to fit an aux in port (although the multi player has fm transmission), running from the head unit, but was asked to find out first if LR has an aux in kit.
Does anyone know if one is supplied? and for the base unit would the head unit need to be programmed to pick up the port. I know there are a number of threads on here on how best to do it, but does it make sense to just bridge the wires and set up an aux port??
Any advice is welcomed....

Don't be deceived, thats just for the shell, hard drive not included but you can stick in a 40GB hard drive up to 160 GB with the cost ranging 129 - 229 GBP..even cheaper is: http://www.digitalall.co.uk/product_detail...=613...but just remember you have to add the hard drive at an extra cost..still cheaper than a 60GB ipod and you can at least play movies to your tv or to any screen...

and a 5th gen iPod too just use the Apple AV cable from the dock to the video monitor
but still, that little device is pretty cool even if you have to add a HD.
