Aux tensioner, has mine gone wonky
I was refitting shields and looking up to the tensioner, it looks a bit wonky, is this normal ?.

No, that needs replacing ASAP. i’m surprised it isn’t making a terrible noise. Soon that will fail and you will lose power steering, water pump, fan, air con, and alternator drives. D3 owned from new, P017 brake recall, BAS FBHIC, new FBH, LR013487 oil pump, new water pump. RRS front lower suspension arms. New suspension compressor/ relay. New Denso alternator. CuNifer rear brake pipes. New GKN rear propshaft. New HPFP belt & tensioner. New A/C Condenser.NO WARRANTY for many many years.

I bet you find it’s nearly disintegrating when you take it off.

Be aware the spring inside is quite beefy.
What happens is the bush wears out, if you look at the belt tensioner whilst it running you can see the tensioner bobbing up and down and the bush is taking care of the pivot point for all that bobbing so it naturally wears out, Iirc the bush is plastic/nylon.
