Auxiliary lights upgrade (off roadlights)

Hi!
I want to upgrade my front auxiliary lamps to LED from the genuine LR halogen.
Do anyone know where I can find the fuse for the additional lights installed by LR?
Is there a fuse behind the nr «2» button?

All help appreciated.

Thanks
Oystein

If it's a genuine installation, the fuse will be in the engine bay fuse box near the battery. It might be on a separate wire to the auxiliary lamp relay.

The switch is only the control signal to allow the auxiliary lights to be on when main beam is on.

Thank you. The installation was done by LR before I got the car in -08. I have not been able to find the auxiliary light relay.....any ideas? As far as I can see the wiring goes from the lights and continues behind the fuse box by the battery....perhaps some removal must be done to find it....

I suppose the best thing would be to get hold of the installation instructions for the lights....if I only had the part number 😃

Thanks alot for the fitting instructions. I tried to change the relay, but still no power to the lights..... The nr «2» button is lit. I can not measure any power at the relay socket when the lights should be on.....

I wanted to find the fuse to see if that was the problem..

can't read, No. 10 or 19 I think

So, still strugling....
This is what I have done:
1. I had original LR halogen auxilliary lighths 2x55W
2. I changed out the lamps for LED 2x80W
3. No power goes to the lights
4. Relay has been changed (just in case)
5. No fuses blown.
6. Polarity for the lights checked.

Anyone have any idea as to what causes this? Before the installation I checked the lights towards the sockets they now are attached to...
Can it be a CAN bus issue?

Thanks for all help.

lots of things you could try.

1) have an assistant press the button on and off in the car (with lights/ignition on)
hold your finger ontop of the relay. Can you feel/hear it click?
If no >>> could be fuse

2) Are you sure the LEDs worked before fitting? If no, refit one light as old halogen.

Have you used a tester to check for power @ the bulb holder

Thank you Pete for replying.
I don’t hear clicking from the relay.
The LEDs worked before fitting. They still work, I tested by taking power from the aux power outlet in the car 🙂
I used a tester to see if current goes to the lamps...

I need to figure out why no power goes to the relay...

On the installation instruction there was a fuse to be installed in no 19..... there is no fuse, and nothing under the fuse-box either...

Strange if there isnt any fuse...

I can’t find any fault codes to help either...

Thanks again all.

did the halogens work before ?

are you saying there are no metal fuse contacts in the fuse holder ?

I would put the old relay back in.

If you have an IID, check the CCF to see if the option is set to fitted for them

Yes, the halogens worked.
The LEDs were tested before installing.
No fuse was installed in no 19....never have been one.

CCF? I have a iCarsoft LR II ....you think that will give same info?

Thanks...again 🙂
