Took my "new-to-me" 2015 D4 in today to be told that the TSB only related to the DS. Having said that the technician came out in the car and we went for a drive round. He is ordering some new "clips" and felt that the rear door was causing the issue by putting undue pressure on the B pillar. Going in later this month for the work to be done, so we shall see..

This is an issue that I have/had when its a hot/warm day. My car has been at the dealers 3 times before it was properly ID and fixed. The issue relates to the mounting plate that surrounds the seatbelt anchor in the B pillar. The fix is to drill out the welds and replace - this took 4 days !!!
They seperated the welds also on an earlier atempt.

'They seperated the welds also on an earlier attempt.' - what does that mean please?
As mentioned..... the TSB has allegedly been done on mine ...... whether it has been done correctly?....
The ticking/rattle still occurs when its warm outside..... (18 - 23 degrees).... so probably needs to go back - but to be honest its a right pain in the butt - been back around 4/5 times for it and they always say - well the TSB has been done.... and we think we've fixed it AGAIN! - but no.... may have to be a busting the seams open..... FFS
I'm almost prepared to put up with it and hope as the car ages it will go away???? 2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

The chuffin rattle returned yesterday. Outside temp was showing 21degs so not overly hot IMO.
The car still needs to go back in for the new seat belt they damaged when doing the welding so I will monitor the rattle situation for a while and possibly get them to have another go. I seriously dread leaving the car with the dealer as they always something up.
We've had the car 14 months now and with all the little niggles that the dealer / JLR can't or won't fix (rear camera for instance) I'm finding myself falling out of love with it. MY15 D4 SDV6 HSE Corris Grey - Gone

Interesting. Driving home there was an irritating rattle coming from the B Pillar on the passenger side. Car only recently registered and has only been out a couple of times since I got her - rattle free up till yesterday
I'd foolishly assumed that as an issue has been identified they'd make sure that it was addressed before releasing new cars. Hmm, maybe need to check when my car was actually built.

passenger side suffers as well FFS!!..... is that what I've got to look forward to..... well at least it will be in stereo I suppose.....
Don't hold your breath that the TSB will fix it - it certainly hasn't on mine - it seems only chiselling out the pillar seams works.... 2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

Quick update on mine. Since the chiseling still no creaking, temperatures have ranged from 10C to 30C with no difference, so fingers crossed it is cured, winter will tell if cold temps bring it back, but so far so good _______________

chiselling it seems to be then..... good grief - but just can't bring myself to ask the dealer to do this...... think maybe I'll live with the very random ticking/rattle.... though it does get on my wick.... I end up trying to analyse what are the climate changes that has made it happen. I can almost guarantee it won't do it on way to the dealers - much like the steering wheel squeak...... My D4 Vin735375 has a loud click possibly from the B pillar / seat belt area, although it is difficult to locate the source. The click seems to be speed related >60mph and is getting worse! Looks like a dealer visit but based on previous comments will update on results!! Appreciate any views!!??

Isn't chiselling going to weaken the car structure a bit.

probably - but it seems to have been done anyhow...
The last few days mine has not made any noise ..... and temperatures have widely ranged as as humidity - so its so difficult to pin down when it will do it.
Maybe its gone away for good ha! ha! - I very much doubt it..... 2016MY Discovery HSE - Black
