A-bar & number plate
I've just fitted an A-bar onto my D3, question is can I still use the number plate holder
Not sure I like the idea of drilling the new A-bar 'LARA'

A-bar & number plate
Thanks, as any one done this and will just the one point of fixing be strong enough as well as hold it tight against the A-bar along the curve.
My plate is held on with cable ties at the mo, will have to have a look at the weekend.'LARA'

mine came with two holes ready for the number plate, which obviously were not in the same place, so I drilled two new holes in the number plate and then used the two hex headed screws that hold the plinth on to fix the plate on,
if that's any help (or makes any sense ! )and theeeeennn......???

When I got mine done at the dealer, they asked me if I wanted it with the original number plate holder or without.
I took it with the holder and I'm glad I did.

I'll be honest and admit that I didn't know if mine had the backplate or not, seems it does.

Bodsy, my plate holder is the stock one on the bumper [now fitted to 'A' Frame].
Same as you will have on yours.
Fisherman's looks different, maybe his 'A' Frame is the winch type?
fisherman .......rsvp
edited: just checked his description and it says 'non winch type' ... very strange!!
edited again: had closer look in gallery, no it's same as mine, just looks more pronounced on this pic.I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

As you said Ron, it's straight off the bumper and moved to the non winch A frame. Might just be the pic, heres another.
