Battery / Park Brake Warning Light

Flat battery a few weeks ago. RAC did a battery check and said battery was fine but something was slowly drainging the battery and to get it checked out.

Then noticed that RED park brake warning light was staying on even when car was turned off. Have run the car for over a week withouth using park brake and no probs.

Dealer has had it 2 days now. Yesterday they said that I needed new rear brake pads and park brake needs adjusting = 220 quid!

Today they said the battery is flat (they left the park brake on overnight) and I need a new battery!

So the battery was fine now they have flatterend it! New battery needed.

Does any know how much a new battery should cost me?
Has anyone had a problem with the RED park brake warning light staying on after the car is turned off?

Cheers

The Red Park Brake light remains on whilst the vehicle is 'alive', it should go off when the vehicle goes to sleep after about 5 or 10 minutes Thumbs Up

Get a second opinion on the battery before shelling out £££'s - would not be unknown for a lazy dealer to say it is knackered rather than try and recharge it Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad
