Battery Questions

My D4 wouldn't start last week after having had the pre-heater on whilst at football training. Empty car park, nobody in sight or jump leads. I called LR Rescue who confirmed the battery was knackered. They offered to fit a new one at £260.00 which I naturally declined. I've found two Exide batteries at Europarts AGM and standard. Do I need an AGM? I don't have start stop but do have a pre-heater, the LR guy said Land Rover had recalled and upgraded D4's with pre-heaters to AGM batteries, is this correct? do I need an AGM battery? I have an IID Bluetooth Tool, when I change the battery do I need to reset or set anything in particular if I upgrade the battery.

Any help advice appreciated.

How did you get on fitting that battery as that's the one I am thinking about, but just wondered about the size as they seem to quote 017 and 019 batteries for the D4. . Andy
