Hi all, Just would like to know if water can be added some way to the battery, as mine appears to be down slightly. Does the plastic top come off??

My 2006 TDV6 SE battery has a cap on each cell which can be unscrewed with a 10 cent piece.

Thanks barryp, Mine doesn't have caps on each cell. It has a complete plastic cap across the whole battery. I have a pic of it, but cant insert it.

Surprised at the change, as mine is the original Land Rover Branded battery that came with the car.

Mine too has the removable screw caps. In the past I know some I've had could have the whole flat top levered off with a screwdriver for top-up, and yet other (newer) batteries with a labyrinthine lid which allegedly condenses any vapour back into the cells making top-up unnecessary. Levering these last ones off is an action tat isn't always reversible... Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?
