BBC Monty Hall's Great Escape - 1300% increase in tourists!
Well not quite but some scottish tourist websites are reporting that they have seen a 1300% increase in internet searches for applecross since the program aired.
could be something to do with the filming seemed to be done on cloudless blue sky days without a midge for 300 miles, this is a different west coast than the one i know and love.
If this program is doing this for applecross, it must be helping out 110 doublecab sales as well.
If you have not watched this program watch it on iplayer... its worth it for his dog alone.

Great place, first went there post uni in an old mini van, stuggled up Pass of the Cattle and then found a new coast road that wasn't on any of maps we had and all the sea lochs had to be crossed by ferry or a long detour drive (and petrol was 33p a GALLON!)
Can't beat the west coast for views and scenery though so hope to take D3 this year
