Getting a bit silly if a post is censored due to inclusion of a name of a type of engine.

Not all can be bad from Watchdog. They've had companies before that have had issues and never failed to accept them until shown on TV and then offered extended warranties and cheaper rates to fix etc!

Given the magnitude of the Thomas Cook issue it’s not really a surprise that it’s been bumped back.Paul.

I had an email from them to say that it had been pushed back, it'll be on next Thursday.

There is definitely a section on vehicle recalls tonight as they were discussing it on R4 about 20 minutes ago.
They mention the Disco among other manufacturers like BMW but are focusing about the fact that they recall them elsewhere but not in the UK.
JLR say they adhere to each countries legal requirement but are not aware of any specific safety issue as a result of crank failure.21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

BBC wrote to me again asking for lots of info, which I did.
Will be interesting to see the programme. Unless its about 30 seconds long!

Steph McGovern was the one talking on R4 ....LR was just an example among others, I could be wrong but I think you may be disappointed.21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Now that would be super ironic, watching Watchdog on the car’s TV while sat on the hard shoulder with a broken crankshaft while waiting on a recovery truck.
Not that I’m suggesting that’s the case, hope it’s something simple & cheap.
And no, I don’t suggest peeps watch TV when sitting on the hard shoulder, it’s much more comfy (& safer) at home.
