Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

I wonder who will be first to get it installed and post up some feedback etc
After all, there is an awful lot of new stuff in there.

Don't forget to transfer all the new server software modules over to the server using the server software manager function once V1.30 is installed on your PC.

The new raw Back up / safeguard function has actually ended up being a bit overkill really, which was mainly due to us having a number of ideas of how to save the files, and how to name them etc, all of which had some drawbacks and inflexibility. But we wanted to get V1.30 released and so there is currently a lot of duplication of capability with it.

backed the raw data back up ...and everything seems ok ..all faults gone

there is an issue with sm4007 saying v1.04 on left ..and when transfrered and updated it says v.1.01

Fancy you being first Wiggs Bow down

I suspect that the VIN stored in the CCF / BCU is no longer as crucial as it was with the D3.
For example the BCU is no longer ordered by VIN, so it may well be possible to now change it without undue effect.

The change log PDF was pretty quickly put up just before we closed for the weekend and my guys were muttering something about it needing further attention, so we will have to re look at that on Monday.

Yes, they should say restore Wiggs,
You also have 2 buttons missing on the right, E and J. I also note that the title is offset, which would be correctly centered if the 2 extra buttons were showing as they should.

It may well be only cosmetics, but then that is all the more reason it really should have been right first time, and having had 2 guys working on this for over a week now, i will certainly be having a few choice words to say to them on Monday morning.

I will also look into the version reporting problem on SM4007, but to be fair the Version control function is actually ridiculously complex and convoluted.

The lower buttons still say SAVE instead of RESTORE though, Evil or Very Mad

And i do have to keep them on their toes Whistle

If you want to fix that yourself, rather than wait for us to do it, it's just a case of editing the text in the respective .ASP file.

In what way is Transferring over a real pain?

I can't believe the simple serial comms for module transfer still hasn't been fixed.

I agree with Wiggs the new 1.30 is definitely slower to react and I think more so when doing the D4 stuff, and yes the module transfer is slow but is that due to the baud rate for the serial port?. Its not a job that needs doing everyday so I could live with that...
