BCM Errors - Key/coil/starting issues?
Hi All
I'm getting the below codes on my IID once I've started the D3, and wondering if anyone had any guidance on it? The car does take a few seconds to start, but I put that down to it just being a V8 in winter!
They come back every time I clear them and then start the vehicle, so trying to work out if I need to do something or just ignore them?
B1B02-28 (2F) Low frequency coil - General signal failure - signal bias level is out of range/zero adjustment failure
B1BA0-66 (2F) Excessive challenge requests or start attempt in storage mode - Algorithm based failure - signal has too many transitions/events
B1C57-14 (2F) Passive start ignition relay coil circuit - General electrical failure - circuit short to ground or open

I expect they all do that sir.
Don’t worry about it.

With the exception of being left in snow for 4 days at -20 in Canada, my V8 never had problems/was slow starting and never showed those codes (it actually did start - just, which quite amazed me).
Assume you've tried the usual suspects of cleaning the MAF, throttle body, checking the gaps on the plugs and replacing, etc, coils. Also worth chucking a can of BG44K in the tank if you haven't done that for a while.
Try that lot.PAGODA

Hi mate
Funny enough When I first bought my D3 I had something similar to that , think it was relating to the light around the ign key
For me it cured the issue when I recharged the battery overnight , however ur know considerably more than myself as it may be a totally different error
Ps, hope ur good

Low freq coil could be the key imboliser pickup I guess.
But if it starts. It works.

Doing physical remidies next, just working through error codes and making sure it's not related to that before I take half my engine bay apart!
