BCM-Body Control Faults

Hi and good morning.
I’ve got a problem that I’m praying someone on the site may be able to help me.
I’ve done quite a bit of work on my D4 and come to start it and it will not start. It turns over great, and battery charges. I squirted some easy start down intake and it fires but cuts out quite quickly. I thought it may be a fuel oil problem, with it starting with Easy Start, so I stated to investigate. I’ve checked the low pressure fuel oil pressure and it’s about 7 psi, which from reading Robbie’s guide is ok.
Having used my IID 3 faults have come up:

1. U2010-11 (2F) Switch illumination - General electrical failure - circuit short to ground
2. U1000-00 (2F) Solid state driver protection activated - Driver disabled
3. U3000-49 (2F) Control module - System internal failure - internal electronic failure
4. See photo below for warning lights that are also displayed.

Would these faults stop the car from firing?
Where should I start looking for fault 1? I assume the other 2 faults may be as a consequence of fault 1.
Any help will be gratefully appreciated and if you live anywhere near Lytham St Annes could result in a pint or 2.
Are the faults 1-3 causing the warnings on the dash.

I would start looking at what you have done with it since it was last running?
As I understand it you have done some repairs and after that it's not coming back to life?
What repairs have you done? Have you forgotten to reconnect some wiring or by mistake disconnected a connector or pipe?
Fault codes indicate a short to ground in switch illumination, but I would just recheck anything that's been touched to ensure it's back where it should and no wiring has been pinched.

You need to drop Flack a PM.
He's our resident NW expert and lives very close to you at Freckleton.
He'll be able to advise and very probably fix it too.

Fuel rail pressure logic

Good morning guys, Flack has been helping me with my diagnostic’s, but I have a question. Can anybody confirm, to get pressure at the fuel rail you need:
1. Low pressure feed to HPFP, circa 7 psi
2. The engine cranking
3. Pressure control valve closed
4. Volume control valve open
5. HPFP turning and in good order
If these conditions are met you should get at least 200 bar at the fuel rail.

I’m still not getting rail pressure. I’ve started with the easy stuff:
1,2 and 3 checked and satisfied
Item 4 is my next check. I am going to check the voltage going to the valve. If this is correct I’m going to remove the Volume Control Valve and check it’s working.
If that looks ok I will need to move onto the pump. I’ll check the belt is ok, if it is I will need to remove the pump. I’ll probably send it to Darwen Diesels to test and repair.

Does this sound right?
