Has anyone fitted a bearmach oil pumps? If so did you have any problems. I know the genuine citreon oil pumps are half the price of genuine land rover oil pumps. But wondered if bearmach might be a good choice.

I cannot answer your question but why take the risk for something so important - the Citroen ones are FordMoCo the same as the Landrover ones are FordMoCo so just get an original one not a knock off.

I'd look at advanced factors. Genuine ones with £25 saving over French supplier

so … going back 30 years, my mate had a VW Sirocco.
Went to the parts place for, IIRC, a starter motor.
"are you sure it's for a VW ?"
"Yes, but why ?"
"if it's for a VW, it's 23 quid … for an Audi, it's 46 quid, for a Porsche … 96 quid."
La plus ca change...

Here in Australia - the 2.7TDV6 is fitted to a Ford AWD vehicle - the Ford Territory.
Ford price is $170AUD and comes complete with LR packaged seals etc.
Landrover price is $470AUD and the pump comes in a Ford Box and the seals are LR branded.
So it does pay to shop around to buy the genuine item but never buy the repro version as they will provide no end of grief with their seals.

As above, the last thing you want is for the crankshaft front oil seal to fall out, it could cause engine failure due to total oil loss . Just not worth the risk, over a few quid. D3 owned from new, P017 brake recall, BAS FBHIC, new FBH, LR013487 oil pump, new water pump. RRS front lower suspension arms. New suspension compressor/ relay. New Denso alternator. CuNifer rear brake pipes. New GKN rear propshaft. New HPFP belt & tensioner. New A/C Condenser.NO WARRANTY for many many years.
