After reading all the posts on here about remaps I took the plunge and ordered a remap interface tool. My initial worries about losing my warranty were alaid when I realised you could return it to standard at will. My next worry was I dont know a thing about computers, but I need not have worried as Pete talked me through every step of the way, and I must commend him for his patience. As for the remap itself its turned the car into a much smoother and a lot more bottom end power. If I could only do one thing to my D3 this would be it.
Thanks Pete.

Spot on, Pete helped me too with Laptop issues, his patience is one of his strong selling points. Totally agree with the comments.
Enjoy

Just thought i'd chip in here.
Ordered a BAS upgrade yesterday, it arrived this morning.
Tried to upload the software onto a laptop with Vista (that was unsuccessful) so used my main PC which has XP os.
No problem to do this.
Took 5 mins to sort the read of the original ECU and mailed that to Pete.
Thought I would be waiting overnight as it was 16:40 hrs by then.
LESS than 5 mins later I got a return mail from Pete with the tuned file and about 10 mins later I was driving a different D3
Initial impressions;
More torque, throttle more responsive, extra BHP is obviously there as there the TDV6 pulls like a train in all gears.
Too early to assess economy, but impressed so far.

Hi Chris,
What do they charge?
Any quantifiable results?

The interface tool is on a special offer at £499 to forum members(should be £649 I think) and you keep the tool so you can change it back to original settings for dealer visits. The difference it makes to the drive is terriffic, before it was a bit slow in picking up at low revs untill the turbo came in now it pulls from tickover and and does not stop. It was a great car before now its fantastic. Well impressed.

And you forgot to add that the Interface tool also reads the fault codes, useful when suspecting a problem, and arming yourself with info for the dealer visit

I have to echo the posts on here. Had mine for over a week now. Low end power is great - roundabouts are no longer an issue. Spent a week overtaking on the cross country route to work. Fuel consumption has gone from 25mpg to 27.5mpg
