A quick play in salt water would be fine as long as it gets a rinse after with fresh water. Previous D4 backed into sea water to above the rear bumper quite a few times i just gave it a thorough wash down (underneath) when i got home.
Its a landrover being played with in arduous conditions, as long as its looked after its good to see them being used and enjoyed like that MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

This is NUTS
Seawater is very corrosive....warm or hot seawater is the best stuff to test how anything fails.
Years at sea as a marine engineer I have seen 1st hand just bhow destructive sea water is...BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Im on the fence about this it looks to me like its been playing on the beach (fine and fun) and the chaps then parked it on the slope for a photo opportunity with a waving crashing over it. It makes a great dramatic picture, it doesn't show him wading through the sea and it doesn't show what he did afterwards.
Sea water is very bad for metal i agree but small amounts on the odd occasion and with appropriate care afterwards i don't think its the end of the world for this D4.MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten
