The best just got better !

Received my BAS remap tool from Pete at lunchtime today, downloaded the original map, mailed it to Pete, got the 'tuned' version back, uploaded that to the Disco, and.......... Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Outside temperature here has dropped to -1 so I couldnt give the Disco a real test, but initial impressions are that pick up from slow speeds is vastly improved, and the power seems to be delivered more gradually (unless you hoof it !), rather than coming in big chunks.

Got a 200 mile round trip tomorrow, so will hopefully be able to get a better idea of the improvements !

Pom, You mention a Max map is this different to the normal tuned map that Pete sent you. I have a BAS remap tool but just have my standard tune and a tuned map on it, is it possible for Pete to send me an extra tuned version to use now and again. Thanks Chris.

Hi

I have the same box from Pete. I got him to do a max map that gives a tad more punch when overtaking.

She does around 3k rpm at 105mph. Hardly breaking a sweat really.

I store the original and standard tune on the box and swop the max tune on it from the pc when I feel the urge!!

Much better having the box so you can put it all back to standard for stealer visits. Wasn't much difference in price from the tune only guys which swung it for me.

Cheers

Before anyone thinks that Pete is mysteriously "remapping" the gearbox to get the economy down, he isn't.... Whistle

Pom - if your TDV6 shows 3000rpm at 105mph in 6th gear then it will do this whether it has 190bhp or 490bhp....it has nothing to do with the remapping of the engine management system Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
