Best value when selling....
The decision has been made.... The D4 will be usurped by a D5 in the Autumn.
I'll be sorry to see her go but I always like a new toy to play with.
When it comes time to sell, if I try to sell privately, do you recon I'll get the best price by selling with all of the accessories attached or by reverting to factory spec and selling the accessories off separately?MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added
MY2019 D5 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - sold to a dealer for a crazy price! - So good I bought another!
MY2012 D4 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - retired to a new home

Advertise it with all accessories firstly to check out the response as there may be someone looking for that exact vehicle.
If not getting the response you require, you can remove these items and sell seperatly or you can use them as additions / thow ins for a potential buyer to seal a deal.
Im my experience ..the effort and hassle involved to remove & replace for a small return in money would steer me to leave everything on the car and sell it as is.

Tend to agree. As D3's and D4's are being turned to by the overlanding community who previously bought D2's and deafeners more and more. A good specced vehicle may attract the right interest.D3 07 SE - still going strong

Hi,
another vote for ^^
a lot less hassle than removing them and they wont fit the new bus anyway so you would end up selling it all.
work out what you think you would get for each item take into account you removing and see what the value to you is, all the bits are good additions so new owner may well want them.
Only real thing I can see to make a big difference would be the wheels and tyres, as there easy to swop over price it with or without them
Sure there would be a vulture or two circling if they came onto the market

Always remove and sell separately. A dealer would give you nothing for them on trade in and in my experience there’s a ready market for sensible used extras.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4

Indeed, same thing tends to apply to private sales as modifications tend to be very personal and to find a buyer who wants the exact combination of extras fitted will limit a seller’s market somewhat.
An unmodified car is appealing to the largest group of customers.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

To be fair, I tend to destroy my 4x4s rather than sell them. Written at least four off.D3 07 SE - still going strong

Definitely strip it. Nobody will want one they suspect has been off road.
secondly , the accessories will fetch more separately
Ok so the first statement is a bit sweeping, but you get the idea. Would you prefer to buy one that has been off road or one that hasn't?Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

Here every slick car salesman always claims the car has been the shopping bag for some grandma or old couple.
Seriously, a vehicle that has a known history of having been fording, off-roading, etc. is certainly a riskier proposition from the buyer’s perspective...
