Well just over 5 years ago I was diagnosed with a Tumour growth in my throat so I underwent Radiation and Chemo treatment after a major operation to remove the growth, well today after my last check-up, of which I have been going back to hospital for the last 5 years, they gave me the all clear.
Its quite a relief to get this far after being given a 60/40 chance of recovery, I consider myself one of the lucky ones, even though I still struggle with eating and cant manage anything to hot or spicy.
When I was in Hospital just after my operation it opened my eyes to some of the others that where a lot worse off than I was, And I know some board members and there wives have been through a similar thing.
Its been a struggle sometimes and I have to thank my wife Eva without her I could not have got through it. Still love fixing these cars so hope to be around a couple of more years before I hang my coat up..
I have through the board met and become good freinds with some members and have had great support from you all cheers for that.
My old mate Steve Smith is still battling, so wishing you all the best mate and hope to read a similar post from you in the near future.
I would have an alcholic drink to celebrate if I could drink it..

When I first met you Mick you were just diagnosed so it’s great news that you have passed the five years.
My wife passed hers this year too.
It’s an horrible disease that really makes us appreciate the simple things.
I know you can’t but I will raise a glass of glenmorangie to you.
