A big thanks to the forum,
After 9 years of Land Rover ownership , a Freelander and 2 discovery 3's I have now only a week or so left with my Discovery This could possibly be the biggest mistake of my life,
Poor dealers, high fuel costs and the unreliability have now taken their toll, EPB warning light flashed on again this morning! we don't even use the b y thing since last Feb ! 2 weeks ago the rear PDC needed a new sensor and loom, just been back in for front wheel bearings again, it seems to be just one thing after another , all annoying little things but hassle of having to take it in or repairing at the weekend, as it has just under the 100k mile mark and the tax and MOT are due next month it seemed the best time for it to go.
Hopefully when I'm not running up and down the motorway as much I will return
Thanks again
Andy

2022 Tesla Model Y LR... almost Carpathian Grey
Previously : 2005 TDV6 SE Auto, Cairns Blue (288K) - ours for 16 years

Shhhhhhhhhhh!! Don't temp fate.
Andy I know what you mean, though my dealer oop norf is a good un. Sticking with ours til they fall apart as they are paid for and even at 130ppl it still doesn't make financial sense to change. Even kicking tyres in Mercedes World didn't persuade SWMBO to say "go on then"
Mildly OT, SWMBO's comment about the off road course at Mercedes World: "could get the Jazz round most of that!!"

Stratstone and Duckworths!!! mainly Stratstones, too many issues with them
Duckworth's told me that they had fitted gen wheel bearings, got a bill for £440, less that 10k later play was found, when i took it back to them they were wanting to charge me or warr Direct for the labour for replacing the faulty bearing as it was non gen!!! after a little discussion they stood the cost, I still had to pay the difference in bearing cost from non gen to gen and £11.75 for the service car

I would Reply:

You better not let your D3 hear all this deals stuff, a D3 scorned is a D3 that will get its own back, probably where there is no GSM sig!
PS was going to look at the 3.0 A4 Allroad but boot not big enough for 2 dogs.
If it's any help my Father recently bought a outlander and really likes it. Having had a nose round and a ride in it I was really impressed, only downside is the third row of seats are no way as good as a D3 but they do the job, can see your logic in ordering one
