Biker kicked my car in Catford.....!!!
Hi All
If you see a Blue Aprilia Mana 850 GT LJ59 AVZ in South London/North Kent do let me know. Of course the Police have my details but I suspect no action will be taken - my word against his and all that.
Anyone know how I can find the address of the owner? Will DVLA release the details?
And, yes I did use the horn as he was riding like an idiot right in front of me...then undertook me and stuck the boot in. All at low speed lest you think it was like an 70's US cop drama.
Any suggestions as to the best way (legally) to get revenge are gladly received.
Cheers

Some certain internet CAR Search engines will give you details of Chassis number/make/model etc etc, do they not give registered keeper??

I would guess that "Legaly" and "Revenge" would not sit that well in court.
As long as you have given police details of bike then just wait,it wont happen overnight.

DVLA will provide address of the keeper if you can show "reasonable cause" - details here.
As said, if the police do nothing, either work through your insurer or if you can get the DVLA to cough up details, mend it and take the rider to court for repayment.Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

More chance of the tooth fairy doing the decent thing and kicking this two-wheeled tw@'s teeth in and leaving him a couple of quid methinks.
I would be looking on flickr and owners forums if I were the revengeful type (which of course I am not).
Sorry if the above sounds negative but my last experience of the police involved an ex car of mine being involved in a 'serious crime' in Manchester (25 miles or so away from me).
So, one night young WPC tips up at the door and asks if I own it. Nope, DVLA have been notified. Ah, ok.
Next night up polls up another PC. This time a bloke. Same story, same questions. "Manchester police have not been able to contact you".
I asked if last night's visit was not enough.
I then suggested we should not be confident that Manchester plod will catch the baddies in question if they can't find me when they know my name and address and I am in the phone book.
He thanked me and left.
