Bill Wright

I seem like a messenger for death at the mo however further to concerns raised in BLF's thread it appears that we have lost another longstanding forum user. Thanks to Woolmeister for the nudge.

Bill 'Shiner' Wright has been on the site since 2007 and last posted back in March. He passed away at the end of August from cholangiocarcinoma.

I didn't know him at all but recall his avid sense of humour on here with his jokes galore littering the OT Humour section.

Bill was a former Mountain Leader 1, Regimental Sergeant Major in the Royal Marines and for this service I'm sure we all give our heartfelt thanks.

His funeral is tomorrow in Crediton if anyone can make it .....details & obituary https://www.funeralzone.co.uk/obituaries/34878

RIP Royal Sad

Oh damn, not another one.

I though it was quiet because he'd gotten to the end of his joke book.

Again I'd only known Bill through the forum and had a good few pm's with him.
So sorry to hear this bad news.

Blimey DG - can you stop posting for a while just in case.

Must have been a good guy - a discerning Discovery owner after all.

RIP.

No way!!

I met Bill a bout 4 years ago when i bought some wheels off him, met the dogs too.

Sadly i was in a rush but had a brew and a long chat with him - he must have been a treasure trove of stories.

Total quality chap.

RIP Bill it was a privilege to have met you.

Enough now DG!!
