Have just had the same issue... mechanic has given me the page from the workshop manual which talks about "bedding in" new shoes/pads. This process should also be used after mud or when the sqeak starts. It is essentially a pump the footbrake and hold and release hand brake sequence. Near enough 40 degrees South!!!

Is the difference down here that our vehicles came with a 3 yr unlimited km warranty. So it costs LR for new bits? Near enough 40 degrees South!!!

Same warranty in the UK (though it's unlimited miles here

ah... did not realise that... Its our servicing that is different... 3 yrs unlimited km servicing.. no payola. Near enough 40 degrees South!!!

We have to pay for that, though the service interval is every 15k miles over here so it's not too bad The End

Me too. I'm in process of swapping dealers for the work to Taggarts in Motherwell. Going to see them Friday, then contact Stratstone to say ' no thanks' unless they read this here first..
