Bit deflated
Start of last week I won 3 of the 4 rear arms for my D3 on ebay. Guy had bought them but only used top right for some reason. Won them for £35 plus postage. Messaged them start of this week as heard nothing about them being posted. Guy said was moving garages and could not find them atm. I was ok with that. No great rush.
Got a message from ebay this morning that I have had a full refund as they have been informed that the parts are damaged or out of stock. I think more like they wanted more money for them. Not even the decency to message me and apologise.2006 TdV6 HSE.

I thought that Ebay had rules to prevent that sort of thing happening,
Unfortunately some selling sites seem to attract the worst of society, no manners.1955 SWB Series 1 86 inch

It was a private sale not a business. Still can't understand why someone would buy all 4 then only fit one. I would always fit at least a pair even if only 1was faulty.2006 TdV6 HSE.

Maybe like the people on EBay selling the single wheels who don’t actually own a Disco....

Simples . . . . he got a better offer and sold them to someone else.
Had a similar experience some years ago now. Won an eBay auction for a car at a very good price - probably a fair bit less than the seller was anticipating. I needed to collect from an address eighty miles away. Lot's of oohing and arghing around collection times and dates, topped off with an e-mail I received late on a Friday night advising me that the automatic gearbox had packed up - and that I was still welcome to come and take it away but that I'd need a low loader. Apparently she quite understood if I wanted to cancel the purchase.
Issue for my pocket was I'd already taken a lower offer on something I was selling as a result of the winning bid amount - and silly me assuming the seller would honour it. Bless her . . . . .
