Yes. To stop it draining battery if left a long time or you have weak battery

dont seem to be on pittasofts website now 
its a hd 720 one ..but in black ...i find the gray / siver 400's show up from outside the car ..were as the black dosent

(Higher compression technology)

Latest firmware for the 400 hd is version 40. It's a right pain to find on there site!
