Blank infotainment screen

Hello All,

First post on this site, glad to have found a place to ask awkward Discovery related questions

I have a 2011 D4 HSE with what seems to be an intermittent screen fault. Screen goes on upon start up and between 2 and 20 minutes later goes blank. Audio keeps playing, and buttons can be pushed on screen (if you know where they are). Ran diagnostics and got a B108E error. Shutdown and restart just repeats the same problem. I tried a hard reset over the weekend with no change.

Any suggestions?

Owned a Defender 110 TD5 for 14 years and almost 500 000km so very much aware of LR foibles Laughing

Regards

An update...

It turns out that the IPod cable seems to be the troublemaker. On a whim, I unplugged the Ipod cable and lo and behold the problem disappeared. 5 days now without the screen going blank whereas it used to be 5 or so minutes before it blanked out.

To make it more intriguing, I opened the connector on the cable which plugs into the car and the only fault I could see was that the cable earth shielding had disconnected from the plug. Fixed that and plugged it back in, no faults in three days.

Strange vehicles, these Land Rovers.
