Bloody electronics

Cruise control switch has always been a bit iffy, sometimes works and then other times don't but never really bothered me.
This morning though , if i pressed increase volume switch on steering wheel it said no phone fitted and if i pressed track selector switch it changed the volume.
Any ideas please?
