I am a new LR3 owner since buying one off a guy on this site. Its a 57 plate LR3 HSE auto. i have taken it on a couple of long runs, one from Glasgow to London (all went well), One to Devon and back to Kent with 6 adults and a dog (all went well). However, after the runs, the next morning, the car started with a large puff of blue smoke.
Also, had to floor the accelerator once to avoid a car, massive cloud of black smoke this time.
Should i be worried about these events?

If you search for 'intercooler hose' on the site you'll find loads of stuff that may help with a diagnosis.
I'm sure someone who actually knows what they are talking about will be along shortly to help but that's my best guess for somewhere to start.

It would help if you filled in your profile so we know what your car is, mileage etc?
No doubt you'll get a long list of suggestions as your signs are pretty non-specific. Keep an eye on your oil levels until you get a diagnosis. I had a turbo oil seal leak on ours that got worse and required oil topups until one trip it drank the whole sump. Luckily I spotted it before disaster... The signs were similar to yours - blue smoke on acceleration and starting. -------------------------------------------------------------------

first place I would check is the intercooler hose as they tend to split over time
I had one go a while ago and you could squeeze the intercooler hose at the top near the bend and there was a split that would open up
Although the smoke wasnt black but it would create a massive amount of smoke from the back end when i booted it! Must stop buying shiny toys....
